• Federal Skilled Workers and Professionals
This category applies to people who want to work and settle in Canada (outside of Quebec) . Canada Federal Skilled Workers and Professional immigration applications are assessed on six key factors. These selection factors are designed to indicate which applicants are likely to become economically established upon immigration to Canada. Each immigration selection factor for Canada Federal Skilled Worker and Canada Professional is allotted a maximum number of points and every applicant must attain at least 67 points in order to qualify for a Canada Immigration (Permanent Resident) Visa.

Quebec Skilled Worker
Quebec selected skilled workers have the skills, education and work experience needed to make an immediate economic contribution to the province of Quebec, Canada. Quebec skilled workers are expected to establish themselves successfully as permanent residents in Canada.

Under the Canada-Quebec Accord on Immigration, Quebec establishes its own immigration requirements and selects immigrants who will adapt well to living in Quebec, Canada. If you want to come to Canada as a Quebec-selected Skilled worker, you must first apply to the Quebec government for a certificate of selection.

• Business Class
The Business Immigration Program seeks to attract experienced business people to Canada who will support the development of a strong and prosperous Canadian economy. Business immigrants are selected based on their ability to become economically established in Canada after they have immigrated to Canada.

There are 2 main areas that apply to the Business Class Immigration Program in Canada and they include the Federal Business Immigration Program and the Provincial Business Immigration Program .

Under the Federal Business Immigration Program , a business immigrant can settle and do business or farming anywhere in Canada. Business Immigrants are expected to make a CAD$400,000 investment or to own and manage at least a business in Canada. Currently, according to Citizenship and Immigration Canada, there are 3 Classes of Business Immigrants Programs:

 Investor Program
 Entrepreneur Program
 Self Employed Persons Program

** Please note that each application can only be made for one class and cannot be changed once the application is submitted. For each of the following classes, as the applicant, you must show that you have enough money to support yourself and your dependents after you arrive in Canada. The criteria you must meet to qualify are different for each class.

Investor Program
To qualify as an Investor in Canada, an individual must:
- Have a net worth of at least CAD$800,000 that was obtained legally
- Have managerial or business experience
- Be willing to make a secured passive investment of CAD$400,000

Entrepreneur Program
To qualify as an entrepreneur in Canada, an individual must:
- Have a net worth of at least CAD$300,000
- Be willing and able to establish, invest in or acquire a business in Canada which will create or maintain employment in Canada
- Respect the conditions for entrepreneurs after they arrive in Canada

Self Employed Persons Program
To qualify for the self employed persons program in Canada, an individual is is required to have either:
- Relevant experience that will make a significant contribution to the cultural or athletic life of Canada
OR
- Experience in farm management and the intention and ability to purchase and manage a farm in Canada
Under the Canada-Quebec Accord, Provincial Business Immigration program, the province of Quebec operates its own Immigrant Investor Program. All investors applying under the Quebec program must both be destined to live in Quebec and be selected by Quebec. Unlike Quebec, most provinces in Canada have an agreement with the Government of Canada that allows them to play a more direct role in selecting immigrants who wish to settle in that province.

• Family Class Sponsorship
The family class applications are to help families who come from other countries reunite in Canada. A Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada, can sponsor his or her spouse, common-law partner, conjugal partner, dependent child or eligible relative (such as a parent or grandparent) to become a permanent resident. There are many things to consider for this application, such as which of the applicant’s relatives can be sponsored or whether the sponsor meets the minimum income requirements and other Canadian Immigration requirements. • Canadian Experience Class
Did you know that if you are a temporary foreign worker or an international student that graduated in Canada, you can apply for Permanent Residence in Canada?
The Canadian Experience Class is for individuals who have obtained a Canadian Education and/or qualified Canadian work experience. These individuals are familiar with the Canadian society and can make positive contributions to the Canadian economy. To qualify under the Canadian Experience Class, the individual must have knowledge of English or French AND also meet the following requirements:
Requirements for Temporary Workers in Canada
- Have at least two years of full time skilled work experience in Canada
- Have adequate basic language skills in English or French
Requirements for Recent Graduates in Canada
- Must be a foreign graduate from a Canadian post secondary school with at least one year of full time skilled work experience in Canada
- Have adequate basic language skills in English or French
Application under the Canadian Experience class must be submitted while working in Canada or within one year of leaving your job in Canada to meet the requirements.

• Provincial Nominee Program
Persons who immigrate to Canada under the Provincial Nominee Program have the skills, education and work experience needed to make an immediate economic contribution to the province or territory in Canada that nominates them. They are ready to establish themselves successfully as permanent residents in Canada.

In order to apply under the Provincial Nominee Program, applicants must be nominated by a Canadian province or territory. Most provinces in Canada have an agreement with the Government of Canada that allows them to nominate immigrants who wish to settle that that Canadian province. If applicants choose to immigrate to Canada as a Provincial Nominee, they must first apply to the Canadian province where they wish to settle and complete its provincial nomination process. The province will consider the application based on its immigration needs and the genuine intention of the applicant to settle there.
